Feminist Purple Reclaiming Our Bodies T-Shirt

This is a quote from one of my poems about reclaiming my power, as a femme queer, from institutions -religious and otherwise-- who demand marginalized genders be compliant, and grateful to be controlled. So many systems treat queer disabled femme/womxn bodies as disposable or as a thing to assign value. Our bodies are sacred because they are ours, not because they belong to a Church or cis people with power. To me, that is not faith nor spirituality. I am so grateful to the many avenues of belief I've gotten to learn from, experience or be a part of that celebrate and are run my fellow queers. I am so grateful to have built faith community with chosen family who share my values of liberation for all and believe in building ourselves structures rooted in things like mutual aid. Autonomy is sacred. Enthusiastic consent is basic and holy. Resistance and rage are intertwined with healing and recovery.
